Super size me (2004)

A documentary film to prove the bad effect that fast food may occur to your health through an experiment of just eating Mc Donald's for every meal for 30 days... how scary! Very impressed by his braveness. The experiment seemed actually extreme but I could realize again how bad it is to eat junk which I do feel like badly few times a year...

School of Rock (2003)

Comedy starring Jack Black. Not too cuty like many school movies. The description at the end by the director and Jack Black was very useful in terms of listening (because you've already seen the film once you might have memorized some lines in your brain).

スラングを除けば早すぎず聞き取りやすい。子供の英語も新鮮かも?!本編の後に見たJack Blackと監督によるDVD解説 はいい!本編を復習することになり、しかも、台詞と違いスラングも少ないので、非常に判りやすい。

Godfather Part II & III

I'm ashamed to tell that I haven't seen Part I yet. However Part II was perfectly well done to imagine the message of the film. The dilemma of the Godafather might be applied to general Japanese fathers but the bond of Italian families seems to be even tight compared to Japanese families nowadays.

As for Part III it is said that Sophia Coppola has won the Golden Raspberry Award for her play; pity!

Here is the story for Part II and Part III (if you haven't see the film yet, see the film first).

20世紀少年~20th Century Boy

I don't never see Japanese films though.

As I woke up at 5:30am this morning, I decided to watch this movie while waiting for the sunrise. I basically don't have a feeling for films which are far too imaginative or unrealistic, nor 'to be continued' films. However I tried to forget about my preconception this time.
Although I could read from between the lines some messages towards today's society I still felt that forever-romantic-men would prefere this kind of films, not women who are realistic ...

MAMMA MIA! (2009)

Very sweet film! I was moved by the bond between mother and daughter.

Harry & Tonto (1974)

The ending drove me home to think about getting old, experiencing most of his life events, adieu and making a fresh start. Who is your Tonto?

Oliver!

A filmization of a musical Oliver Twist by Dickens. Even the miserable people seemed cheerful in this film.

La Nuit Americaine (1974)

The story unfolds around the film location. Got a fresh reminder that a film is a product of team work and the glow of postcreative consummation is as priceless as the director can stand all the hard work accompanied with all the excess managements with his crew.
